"This is a larger-sized house hotel, I arrived late but the host was staying up and then was invited into the house, was made a coffee and shown to the room. Many steps have been taken to make the place operate as a hotel, I stayed a few nights and felt I would be welcomed back."

"Located above a petrol station, as a lone traveler felt slightly vulnerable entering the building given the location. However, once inside it was comfortable and clean and surprisingly quiet. Good communication and instructions prior to stay. A kettle would have been preferable as I couldn’t make a cup of tea with the coffee machine, it appeared to be missing a part to allow for hot water. "The Hen House has only a few rooms.. Huge tea bags, hot choc etc. in room.. Nice friendly pub, in a delightful village. The only thing missing, was bed side table lamps! I slept well left feeling relaxed Thank you "

"I felt unsafe staying here as a lone female traveller and would not recommend it to anyone travelling alone - the only think that made me feel better was barricading the door with the chair in the room as the lock was loose "

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A slept in bed, dirty sheets, one towel, a vile shared bathroom, questionable communal areas, people loitering in hallways repeatedly trying bedroom doors, poor lighting, dirty and stained carpets and the area around the property is badly lit and seems generally unsafe. Poor contact from owners with an air of contempt when contacting them to gain access to the property because they hadn’t sent passcode details for the main access door.
