"We really liked La Bastille. The area is lively, but perhaps a bit too much for us, as we couldn’t sleep due to the noise from the adjacent nightclub and bistos. However, the room was comfortable, and the mattresses were of very good quality. The service was excellent. The location is ideal – very central, and you can either walk or take the metro to get anywhere around the city. I loved the Sunday market next by. It is a must-see for anyone."

"Don’t go there. Do not even think about it. It is infested with bedbugs. All the 4th floor. I was in room 403 and woke up at 1Am with 20 bites. The bugs were big, means they’ve been there a long time. I spoke with the reception and he didn’t care. Dont be fooled by the pictures, it is not as advertised. Highly NOT recommended "

"Staff were very nice. They keep the key when you leave the apartment (probably because it’s an older hotel where they don’t use card keys and so replacing the keys, if lost, is more difficult). Good for the price. We were worried about bed bugs but didn’t find any. However, there were some other bugs in the room despite it being clean. "

"Very pleasant stay. Staff are very friendly the room for three people was small but functional and clean. The location is good, one metro station is a couple blocks away and the other, which connects with Gare du Nord to go to the airport is about a 7 minutes walk. The only con is that the washroom could have some accessories, like a proper paper toilet holder and somewhere to put the soap in the shower. "
