The room was comfortable n just what I needed, the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the inter-room doors were not locked (I asked for it to be but it never was) n the walls were paper thin, I could hear everything from next door."

Only downside is the elevator went out of order after my first night so I had to climb the narrow staircase for 5 floors - esp when checking out with luggage. But it also wasn’t that bad that it ruined the stay. Would come back!"

"Not my first time in Paris and I enjoy staying away from touristic areas. Hotel Mareuil is perfectly located to still go to all the sites but explore great neighborhoods too. Despite being off a busy road, rooms are quiet. Rooms are clean, tasteful, modern and efficient (though all Paris hotel bathrooms can seem small to Americans). Staff very helpful and kind. Did not take breakfast but great boulangerie Utopie a block away. "
