"The Waterfront Retreat on the Patuxent River is better than advertised. Our whole family stayed -- everyone loved it! It was clean, comfortable, with everything needed to stay comfortably, sleep, eat, relax and use as a home base for exploring. Solomons Island and the surrounding area was filled with lots of fun things to do (restaurant's, museums, history, boating, walking, etc.). "

"What a peaceful little oasis along the water! My daughter and I stayed here for a swim meet at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. It was a perfect distance from the college, about 5 minutes. The house was very clean, modern, eloquently decorated and equipped with kitchen basics. The bed was very comfortable, which is bonus when staying away from home. The doc was so beautiful and we enjoyed sitting and watching the ducks in the afternoons. We will definitely return when it is warmer and highly recommend this wonderful home!"

"This home sits right on the water! It is beautiful! We watched ships roll by, ducks bobbing on the water, and flocks of geese flying and landing on the water. The view from both lower and upper decks are amazing! We spent lots of time on the decks even though it was cold - we just covered ourselves with blankets. The hosts are wonderful people, always kind and patient, and gave great recommendations on shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. They were very communicative and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this amazing beach home!"

"Quiet room, comfortable bed. The vent fan in the bathroom was dusty. I don’t like the sink outside the bathroom, with no place to put my supplies for the shower."
