"Very comfy hotel, ideally situated, staff very helpful "

"The reception area of the hotel is light and airy and very welcoming. We found our room quite easily and it was both comfortable and quiet. The leisure pool was a bonus although it isn’t very big so swimming lengths wasn’t particularly easy. Dinner was nice but it is quite difficult to get 3 courses for the £32 allowance. We just chose two. Breakfast was no more than ok. The coffee was terrible and hot food was lukewarm at best. However, there was a good choice of cereal and fruit and the freshly made porridge was very nice. "

"Very pleasantly surprised. I thought low price meant fairly average but the Ibis Southampton exceeded my expectations in every way. Friendly, efficient check in, bright, clean, comfortable, quiet room. Had a drink from the bar when we got back after a show at the Mayflower theatre too. Couldn’t fault the whole stay, brilliant. "
