"Lovely big room with exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows. Pool was perfect temperature with deep water and imnaculately clean. Close to Edinburgh Castle and old town and many restaurants of all types. Staff very polite and charming. A relaxing 2 night stay."

"The communication was good prior to arrival. The location was changed on the day however that was a minor detail with no impact. The arrival demanded a few security codes again no issue. The room was not as I had expected, the beds were made but the room was not clean. The lighting was very poor and the bed side light was not working. After one minute deliberation we started to look online for alternative accommodation. I did inform the owner immediately and received a mail the following day...

"We enjoyed the period architecture with modern furnishings. It doesn't have a lift, which was a problem with bulky luggage. The hotel is positioned well, with a short walk into the new town, or accessing more of Scotland by rail/road. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, but not very spacious for two hungry people. Overall, it suits well for short stays more than long holidays. "
