"No instructions on how to turn the lights on , apparently the door card needs slotted in as you enter , got there in the end though"

"Good staff, if approached with a problem they did there best to fix it. However the hospitality team that delt woth the rooms (fresh towels, toilet roll etc.) Where very slow, last time we requested fresh towels in the morning to get a shower we didnt get them till a few hours later. The food was expensive, however very tasty and worth the price. Overall though they were good and would stay here agian."

"It is a great location for exploring Edinburgh. Within walking distance of shops pubs and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful rooms, comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would return. "

"We loved the staff at Wilde so friendly and outgoing. We were less enamored with our rooms. Some things in both rooms we had didn’t function properly (blinds, lights, etc). Room was either freezing ir we had the heat off or felt like a furnace or we had it on. We also found that the “apartment” part of the room was not well utilized by us. "Everything is very good. A huge improvement in all areas since being taken over by Marriott. The morning coffee however really lets the hotel down. Very weak filter coffee severed from a large container is not what you would expect from a 4 star establishment."

"enjoyed our stay overall. at checkin we were told our room was small and asked if we wanted to upgrade. we declined and were delighted with our cosy room on the 8th floor which offered fantastic views across the city. staff were all very helpful. our only disappointment was breakfast on the first morning which cost £22.50 each. some of the food on the hot buffet was shrivelled and the fried eggs were set hard....disapponting for a hotel of this standard at that price.....even a premier inn...

"We visited with our dog in January. The room was clean and comfortable. We had kindly been left a dog bed, bowls and a doggy goodie bag for our dog which was a lovely surprise. "
