"Great building in a lovely location. Some areas of the hotel are a bit tired, but cleanliness was very good. Staff were welcoming and accommodating and our evening meal and breakfast was great. The free facilities of the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi at the leisure complex were an added bonus, although the beautiful view was hindered by the windows which needed cleaning. An easy fix! Overall, a lovely stay and great value for money."

"The staff were all excellent and attractive. The room was comfortable. The spa-bath in our en-suit was a lithe noisy but fun. We enjoyed a swim in the pool, not huge, but not busy. The only negative was breakfast was not very hot but otherwise the restaurant dinner was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Great location for exploring the south lakes and Furness peninsula. "
