"Couple of policies that shocked me a bit were filling in "again" a form asking for passport number and nationality while our passports were copied and the information were right there. "Clean and spacious enough for business trip. It is only blocks away from the main shopping district. Next to the city hall, which is closed after business hours, which means quiet. Got Uber easily in front of the hotel. "

"I had a really good time, this hotel is very near from sannomiya station, sannomiya shopping street and the view from the hotel is also great. Staff is really helpful and polite. Of course the room is smaller but that’s I think the case everywhere in Japan. Overall it was a really great experience. "

"We loved how clean and efficient everything is. It has tons of dining and eating options, konbinis, and high end brands and low cost/affordable shopping options. The harbor is Less than 10 min away and the subway and transportation to visit other areas is within walkable distance. I totally recommend it! "

"Exceptional experience at this ryokan. Will definitely come back again. Onsen was also amazing and really enjoyed the private aspect of it. 45minute sessions were plenty enough and we were able to get our spots each time we wanted."

"We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka! The hotel was really nice and after getting used to the traditions, we loved going to the sento/Trinite baths every day. It's a bit of a walk from the Osaka train stations, but in January we were still able to stay underground for almost all of the eay there. Fair warning - when visiting the Umeda underground routes be ready to be lost as it's very convoluted and busy, so it's easy to get confused. The hotel and staff on the other hand made the stay fantastic."

"Excellent hotel, room was very spacious with wide range of amenities and friendly staff. Access to self service laundry made it so convenient when travelling with kids. Located minutes from train station, shopping, dining and Universal Studios. Would definitely stay again! "

"This is an excellent location to access USJ. We could see the gate from our room and knew when people were starting to line up in the morning. The breakfast buffet was also excellent! A great way to fuel up for the day. Heaps of food options at the hotel doorstep. Super easy access by train too!"

Loved my stay

"This hotel is only 6 min walking distance from the Shin osaka station. The hotel is beautiful. We had the royal room type. I loved it. the toilet is away from the shower and tub. There tea in the room was high quality. Daily beverage service at the restaurant level. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever had. There is a relaxing bath house. Great for after a long day of walking. Staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place."
