We loved arashiyama and the convenience of how walkable our hotel was to both stations and the town. The beds are so comfortable the room we stayed in was spacious. "I usually don't review stays, but i had to for this Ryokan Yamazaki! The property is clean, quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Above all, the service we received was outstanding. The staff are very kind and patient. They were very understanding with foreigners as well, and explained everything we needed. I was very sick to my stomach when i arrived, due to motion sickness. My husband went to ask for directions to a pharmacy, and the staff drove him there personally and helped him pick out medicine!...
