"The location of this capsule hotel is ideal, especially since it is close to several subway lines and is walking distance from the Shinsaibashi shopping arcade. The neighborhood is very quite and safe. The hotel staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, and have front desk personnel who can speak English and even Chinese."

"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! The reviews on Google and Orbitz rated The Calendar high so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. However, I do need to mention if you are sensitive to smell you might notice the slight scent of smoke. The entire capsule is non-smoking, however there is a smoking room, that when smokers return it...

"This capsule hotel was spotlessly clean, well maintained and provided quiet sleep pods. The locker, toilet, shower area was a little chaotic with nowhere to open suitcases other than on the floor. Great communal area for eating and relaxing. "
