The location of this hotel is very good, Whole Food and various restaurants are nearby, and there's a shuttle runs between hotel and the California Lodge at Heavenly. "

Not only is it close to Lake Tahoe but the resort itself is in a forest and close to Tahoe rim trail and other hikes and they have their own ski and sled area that also serves hot tea and lunch. Their restaurant in the main lodge serves dinner and has decent food and amazing ambiance with a huge fire place. The room had 2 comfy beds and plenty of pillows. The heating was good too. "
