Kinloch Wilderness Retreat

4.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very Good, (115)
"The dirt road in is probably the roughest/bumpiest drive I’ve had on nz dirt roads. The location is remote and peaceful. Views are scenic and the history of the river and its ‘tide’ was interesting. We had shared amenities which were basic but fit for purpose. The room smelled of damp and walls are absolutely paper thin. We could hear every noise and whisper of our neighbours. The kitchen and shared lounge was fabulous. We enjoyed our stay. "

Holiday Home Close to the Lake

8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (8)
"Good communication with host. Very tidy house. Unsure how to work the oven and all outlets had a switch. Separate faucet for kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room with hot and cold with no ability to mix. No dryer, only a drying rack on a cold, wet day. I also wish it had a bedside table lamp and a small trash can in the bathroom. It was very cold. There was a small room heater, wall heater in the hall, and nice warm electric fireplace. These are small things and can be easily overlooked as the...

Lake View Weekend Getaway

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (14)
"Two blocks from a rocky beach (good for a swim, with water shoes) and stunning views. Quiet neighborhood close to trail along the lake. House has everything you need in the kitchen, a nice deck, and was super clean when we arrived. Note that if you want to use the hot tub, there is an extra charge (to cover cleaning, which seems reasonable), and owners will unlock it. Plenty of room for two couples (and there is a bunk room too!). "
