"This property has a sort of low key, not fancy, resort vibe. It has more resort-type facilities than the typical Sunzal Apartment-Hotels; but a very unpretentious decor. The views are great; the pool is adequate; they play easygoing music most of the day, which adds to the resort vibe staff is super helpful and friendly. It's right on a great beach for walking and playing. That beach also has a couple of thatched-roof restaurants. But I actually never tried any of them, because the on-premises restaurant was fantastic. If you're looking to surf the Sunzal break (as I did most days), then I must say it's a very long paddle to get there. Alternately it's a long walk over uncomfortable rocks - I chose the paddle. I also rented a motorcycle so that I could get to El.Tunco easily. Overall this hotel/resort is a great value."

"Great spot, rooms felt dated, but in a charming way. Beautiful balcony and hammock, plus great common area, and reasonably easy parking. Be aware, the Expedia location pin is incorrect, Google the name of the hotel to find it. Had a bit of a hunt in the dark at night to find it, until a local pointed me in the direction. The town is quiet, but beautiful and very friendly. Food was decent, and there seemed to be one bar open late with live music if you are seeking nightlife. Amazing breakfast options, beautiful beach, and very walkable."

"Este lugar con sus vistas, playa, piscinas naturales, jardines, restaurantes y ambiente es excepcional. El único problema que encontré es la habitación, la cama es muy dura e inconfortable, no hay plancha, secador de pelo ni lampara en la mesita de noche, además el agua de la ducha se va muy lentamente por el tragante, lo que no hace placentera la ducha. Además a los estantes de madera del baño y closet les falta pintura para que no se vean sucios. Es decir pienso que con muy poco de esfuerzo las habitaciones podrían hacerle justicia al lugar que es espectacular. De todos modos volvería porque el lugar es bello. La comida y atencion en Pelícanos es de primer nivel y el Atami restaurant para desayunos también tiene muy buenas opciones y buena atencion. "

"When I want to book this trip it showed a picture of a cabin. I don't normally spend eighty dollars for a hotel room in latin america , so my Expectations were high. After waiting till 3 to get my room.They gave me what looked like a dorm room with a shared bathroom.. I was really hot and sticky from traveling and it was.There was no towel right as they got there.They poured chlorine in the pool and said no one could go in. Later the toilet was stuck up with someone else's 💩 Oh, by the way, they play Live music next door. Which pretty much rocks the place. Again the problem I had initially was they show a picture of a room that they don't give you. When you Check-in, then you offered me. Pay more cash for a room that reflects the photograph. Almost midnight now. And very loud outdoor bar scene next door.. "
