"The location was good, the price was right and the staff was great. However, there was no AC and the bed frames were very noisy and shook quite a bit getting in and out, and if you moved at all. Also, they did not supply towels, but you could buy one for $8. As far as hostels go, I would recommend it compared to what else is out there "

"Thoroughly recommended. A spotless ground floor apartment. Incredibly well appointed, three double bedrooms .Dave the owner lives upstairs is a really nice guy, not too intrusive but always there to help. He willingly gives you a lift to the ferry or locally to restaurants etc. Always welcome. Twenty minutes walk either way to Ferry or train into the city, the location is very quiet at night in a residential area but a little walk at night to local pubs and restaurants after a long day. Well...

"The bathrooms were a bit dirty, the room was basic but did the job. There was a party in the kitchen most of the night. And a loud fan outside my window"

"Love the old style pub and its history. Comfortable but showing its age, room was noise due to work being done on the block behind the building just outside our bath room window, but the bath room door was water damaged and could not be closed. Would stay again, there appears to be plans to do work on the build in 2024"

"The Shakespeare hotel is an amazing place to stay, not just for the beautiful interior but for the friendly and accommodating staff, and the great food and music downstairs.
