"My husband and I stayed here as part of a trip to Japan to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. The staff made us feel welcome and the decor was so wonderful! We really enjoyed the private hot tub in our traditional tatami room. As for the kaiseki dinner, it was delicious but I wasn't prepared for the sheer amount of food! I am not a very big eater (at night) and the successive services impressed me a lot! I think it would have been a suitable amount of food for 3 people. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't make it to the end and ended up wasting some of the meal. As I know Japanese etiquette requires you to finish every thing so as to not waste, I felt bad for a while after. 申しわけありませんでした! Hakone was a quiet moment to ourselves, nestled between Kyoto and Tokyo during our trip. We had a lovely time, thank you!"

"Wonderful onsen"

"I had accidentally booked the reservation under only myself, when in actuality, I was staying with my two kids and husband as well. The Receptionist handled it very well (despite the language barrier) and she made sure we had everything we needed. The location is great, very walkable and the view is beautiful. Beds were really comfortable. Nothing bad to say! "

"We arrived too early to check in but the staff who was there on the morning of 2/11 was so helpful in getting us situated with lockers to store our luggage until check-in time. We appreciated the helpfulness and patience of the staff member that day. She and another staff member were there at check-in at 3:00 and again they were so helpful. We would stay there again. The hotel is also so convenient due to being in walking distance to Atami Station as well as to bus and taxi hubs."

"Here’s a review you can use: I had an incredible stay at Mt. Fuji View Hotel! The room’s view of Mt. Fuji was absolutely breathtaking – a sight that I won’t forget. The hotel staff provided excellent service, always friendly and helpful. The coin laundry was convenient for longer stays, and the onsen was a perfect way to relax after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!"

"Wonderful location and service. Beautiful grounds. Excellent range at breakfast though many large groups. Excellent wine bar that we paid for as part of the booking. Self help to over 30 types of Japanese wine and premium snacks. Plus wonderful onsen in the room. Would stay again"

"We stayed two nights in a Japanese room with private open-air bath. It was fantastic. The room was clean, modern and had everything we needed. Words cannot describe the private open air bath which we used as much as possible. We had dinner and breakfast included - these meals may be challenging for western tastes but if you're feeling adventurous, go for it! Unfortunately the public bath was closed when we visited so I cannot comment on this."
