"The hotel is beautiful with a lot of charm and character and our room was lovely. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was poor and could easily be improved. The eggs benedict and the veggie breakfast were both quite tasteless. The selection of pastries and cereals etc were good though. I'm sure last time we stayed here the cooked breakfast was better. Strangly the curtains covered the radiator and so blocked some of the heat but the room was still warm....

"Food was really gorgeous. We had breakfast, dinner and cream tea there. All excellent. Room was very comfortable but small. Hotel garden lovely. Drinks great. Service was haphazard: often had to go inside to seek or give a food order, or request cutlery once food had come etc, as hard to flag someone down once we’d been seated/served. Some staff were welcoming, some were brusk. Hotel in beautiful town and was a lovely place. Overall, would go again. "
