"We walked from the train station to the hotel and it was too far , very hilly. However, when we reach the hotel it was nice, an older building but clean and well kept up. Up. The food was great in the restaurant. Including one just up the hill from the hotel that was particularly interesting very often"

"A lovely overnight stay. Room small and quirky but comfortable bed and although we could hear the people talking in the bar underneath the room it didn’t keep us awake. A lovely evening meal and excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. A good choice."

"Food was really gorgeous. We had breakfast, dinner and cream tea there. All excellent. Room was very comfortable but small. Hotel garden lovely. Drinks great. Service was haphazard: often had to go inside to seek or give a food order, or request cutlery once food had come etc, as hard to flag someone down once we’d been seated/served. Some staff were welcoming, some were brusk. Hotel in beautiful town and was a lovely place. Overall, would go again. "
