"There was a serious accident on the highway to Squamish. The major and only link to the area was closed from 11 am to past 4:30 pm. Traffic was backed up for over 60 km. The estimated time to get to the hotel was over 6 hours. We asked the hotel for the opportunity to book another day. It was refused. BUT the worst part of this all was the man I spoke with LYING to me, claiming the highway was open and we should head up there. Even when I told him the radio reported it still closed he INSISTED...
