"The home is a decent distance off the highway but the scenery you'll see while driving to it are gorgeous. On the first day, we saw 3 deer and 2 rabbits! The driveway is very steep and made of gravel, so keep that in mind when choosing what vehicle to bring. If it has been raining, your tires may slip a bit going up. "We traveled from Philadelphia to Bland for a family funeral and this house was the perfect home away from home. It is very comfortable and well stocked with all we needed. "Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at Sweet Retreat. While it was cold and snowy outside we were able to relax in a spacious home and also partake of the hot tub. Large fenced backyard was great for the pup while in the summer it would combine great with the pool and outdoor amenities!"

"We loved staying at this cozy home in Galax. Communication was quick and consistent from the start. The house and property was immaculate. The home was just as described but even better in person. Amazing views from every part of the home. The wrap around porch was the perfect way to start our morning with coffee and a sunrise and end with a sunset. The hot tub was an added bonus! "Extremely clean, plenty of dishes . Bring your Own Roku box if you chose to watch television. TV’s are there but service was taken out due to Hurricane Helene. Not all windows have blinds. But bathrooms & bedrooms do have them. Owner most kind. Cornhole on site to play outdoor games. Perfect for families and those traveling with a pet.
