"Fabulous hotel with rooftop pool. I would have given it an excellent score but for a couple of little things. The staff were really lovely, helpful and friendly. The little things that niggled were: no tea and coffee making facilities in room, no drawers to put anything in. No means of drying items. Upstairs there are 6 sunloungers but you can’t use umbrellas over them. And last was the layout of the breakfast area, when it’s busy it’s a bit of a claustrophobic nightmare "

"This hotel is in a good location right across the street from CopaCabana beach. There didn't seem to be much shopping nearby but there were some pretty good restaurants very close. You will need to take an Uber or taxi to get most places unless you have a tour pick you up. The hotel is older and shows it without much in the way of upgraded rooms. "The Orla is one of THE best places you can stay if you want to be near the beach. It is literally across from the famous Copacabana - you can walk there in a minute! Don't think you'll get a great view from your hotel window, however; there are a limited number of rooms overlooking the ocean, but the room we stayed in was still very nice, as was the hotel staff.
