"Great staff, comfortable room."

"Overall is good, I would expect more based on the price. Housekeeping, room service and overall hospitality do a very good job. They do however need to upgrade their beds, they’re old and uncomfortable to sleep in. They could add a plus with a coffee machine and clothing iron in the rooms. I didn’t like the bracelet part; they require all clients to wear a bracelet but do not give it to you at check-in, which was kind of annoying for the security guard to ask me to go get it at 3am 2 days later...

"This was an incredible property. I found it unique and totally a vibe. My vibe. It was classy and elegant while holding an earthy feelings. Lots of plants and natural light. The property was very clean, room was clean and well organized. I felt like it was worth every dollar. Truly a first class experience. Everyone was very professional, helpful and genuinely kind. "I liked the property location to business, bars, restaurants and relatively close to the beach. The breakfast at the restaurant was great as well as the restaurant. There is a bar/pool in the penthouse where I met some other nice guests. The rooms were small, but had everything needed (minifrige, closet, safe). I am definitely going to consider this hotel for my next visit to Rio if the price is right. "

"We had a fantastic stay at Rio Othon. We were there over carnaval, which means it was beyond busy, and yet we felt like the staff cared about the few issues we had and worked quickly to resolve them. We definitely recommend this hotel & plan to be back."

"The receptionist that checked us in was rude & not ethical with check in protocol. A complaint was made to the managers & this was immediately corrected: efficiency on the part of hotel management . Things were put in place to make our stay enjoyable. Kudos to the hotel manager Ms. Valentino"

"The location was great if you want to be right on Copacabana beach. The beach view from the room was beautiful too. The staff at the pool were great and the food we ordered for lunch while on the roof was also great. The actual room was not as clean or as modern as I was expecting. But it was still a fine overall experience. We enjoyed getting a drink on the rooftop each night before going to dinner."

"Place was up to date, well maintained. It was far from the beaches where I usually stay. But I didn’t plan on any beaches my 3 days I spent here. Only complaint is my room had an awesome view of the lake but, there was a loose manhole cover in the road that I heard cars hitting all night. I couldn’t figure out where the noise was coming from until my last night. Not hotels fault but lost a lot of sleep from it. Overall hotel was great."
