"The stag were extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. The room was a very good size with a modern en-suite bathroom. The evening meal menu had a varied selection for all tastes and the quality of food was excellent, being very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was high quality local produce with a large serving. Overall we had a fantastic stay and great nights sleep with a large high quality mattress and comfortable pillows. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue and we would definitely stay again when in the area."

"its a lovely hotel, fabulous view, comfortable accomodation. the lake walk is pleasant, and the walkway maintained to make it reasonably accessible but not fully pushchair / wheelchair capable. its great that its dog friendly and animals are allowed in and around the place food is very nice, all made to a very high standard. it is pricy but its very pleasant and you dont feel short changed. a good location for a special event. "We stayed for 12! Days it was so good. Beautiful property in the heart of North Yorkshire - amazing selection of breakfast. Clean rooms and family-run, friendly service. Sometimes we had to ask repeatedly for clean towels - and we don’t change them everyday. Beds were old and could use updating for comfort. Otherwise - would highly recommend! "
