"i loved my stay here. the staff were incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. additionally, i had stayed in this hotel for three nights, left for three days, and then came back for an additional one night stay, and when we checked in for our last night they upgraded our room free of charge. it was a very nice and pleasant surprise. i highly recommend staying here. "This is actually a Best Western property. It did not seem like one, however. It seems like a wonderful independent, small boutique hotel. The neighborhood is very safe with plenty of eating and shopping options. It is very walkable to all the major sights in historic Istanbul. Highly recommended for the price. "

"GLK Acropol staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay in Istanbul, especially Mustafa and Emre. Hussein at reception was helpful in arranging the Bosphorus Cruise for us as well as transfer back to IST on our departure day. Although the hotel is a bit old, the management has kept it well maintained. The location of the hotel is phenomenal, however do keep in mind there several bars on this street, if you sleep in early be aware it can be some what noisy at night. "

"Staff was very helpful. House keeping was top notch. Where my room was located i could hear people from the outside and every morning i could hear the delivery lorries beeping. Something they cant control was road work at the front of hotel. It's not management it's municipality. Other than that one week stayed was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend it."

"A very pleasant stay, the hotel was a bit dated and the room had a dry water patch there wasn'ta tv ( which doesn't worry me but may do for some)there was a room safe.... , stairs for some could be a bit tricky..( a spiral type) . The staff were really helpful and friendly , the hotel is situated in a back street which is cobbled, but a 3-5 minute walk from the blue mosque/ hagia sofia "
