"The location and setting was spectacular! Talk about eye candy!! It was fun watching the surf and the flow of visitors as well. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant Agua e Sal a very short walk from the house. Hosts had a small clay chorizo grill which we used to grill the black pig chorizo we found at the supermercado atlantica which was located just south of praia de maca. Delicious! The stove didn’t work so we weren’t able to do any cooking- but the house is large enough for a family and was fine for us as we didn’t end up spending much time there. "We enjoyed our stay at this property, however the pictures are misleading. Mostly the modern areas are shown in the pictures, however there are many old and antique areas. When we arrived the house had a damp and musty smell and it was very cold. The upstairs bathroom is in way worse condition then shown on the pictures. The enamel in the bath was chipped off and there was a large, mould like stain on the ceiling. The kitchen is really well stocked and the garden and pool areas are very nice....

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The house is in a great location... away from hussle-bussle of the big city. Great place if you are looking to relax and be closer to nature. Lots of great places to visit nearby. The two has some great coffee shops, restaurants etc. The house itself was quite big and spacious. Ideal if you have a big group 6-8 people."

"Fantastic stay. Our room was upgraded due to a hot water issue. The upgrade was very nice and very much appreciated. The communication regarding this issue was clear. We did experience a hot water issue in our suite but there were clear protocols as to fixing the issue and all was ok. "
