"We stayed in room 3 for 2 nights. We adore York, such a fascinating and historic City, but this was the first time we had visited at Christmas time. The hosts are wonderful people very helpful, accommodating and eager to to please. The room was large with a very nicely presented bathroom. Lovely hot shower and plenty of hot water during our stay. "Quiet neighborhood within walking distance of York sights. Breakfast was delicious, but it cost £15 per person. The cook staff was wonderful. Two small problems… be sure to tell them in advance if you need a parking spot. We almost didn’t get one. It was £10 per night for parking with the hotel. It would have cost more in the nearby lot. Also, no one went in our room to freshen the dishes or towels. All that said, it was clean and comfortable and in a great location. "

Would stay again but I’d book independently as YOU, HOTELS.COM did not pass on my payment to the Bootham and YOU told the Bootham I was 2 persons and needed to be charged double for breakfasts! I had to prove I’d paid for my stay when I arrived which made me feel very uncomfortable and I hold YOU, HOTELS.COM entirely responsible and in no way am I annoyed with the Bootham B&B. They were brilliant at resolving the mix up...

"Lovely old pub with log burner in bar, friendly staff and locals, made very welcome. Stayed three nights in the four poster room, situated outside of main building but ideal for our two small dogs. Home cooked meals, very good and generous, good range of ales, most from adjoining brewery. Located in the countryside, highly recommended."
