"What a wonderful and charming hotel! A perfect location and we had a great view of the Abbey from our room (room 2). There is noise from traffic outside as the hotel is on a main road but this is reflected in the excellent price and didn’t bother us at all. Parking is free which is a great perk when visiting a city and the staff are so courteous and efficient. The breakfast is super tasty and made from local produce. "Good value room. Clean. Everything needed and although a little old fashioned in places, fits the characterful building. TV and kettle. Some efforts underway to maintain and redecorate. You need to let the shower run for at least 2-3 min for the hot water to come through, but good flow and pressure. Staff helpful and convenient location for the City centre, just by the cathedral. "A warm welcome from the Reception lady, who quickly got me checked in and was very helpful. Comfortable room, plenty of space and room for hanging clothes up. Nice restaurant with lots of food and drink options, the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Nice walks from the door."
