"The hotel is so beautiful; however, the area is very loud located next to the hospital and major hwy. The breakfast buffet is great, but the items off the menu (room service meals) we ordered were terrible, especially for the price. For these 2 reasons, we would likely choose a different location next year. "

"Very nice hotel with close access to the beach, where you can rent chairs, kayaks, and snorkel. It is a very steep walk up the hill to the main road where there are several restaurants, coffee shop, and supermarket. Guest services arranged for our tours to Manuel Antonio, making planning excursions easy. "

"The property is nice, but it is in the middle of a not-so-nice part of town, so it did not feel safe to venture on foot off the grounds. In addition, unless you love the pool or practicing your golf shot (driving range), there is not much to do on the property. Staff was very attentive and helpful and the restaurants were good."

"It was such an attractive, creatively put together and decorated place. The bed was especially comfy, and the ceiling fan was strong and made good white noise (needed in this busy city). I had the idea that it was closer to the airport than it was, but it was worth the bit of extra time it took to get there. Good value!"

"The pool area was a pleasant surprise - much nicer than the neighbouring Hampton Inn. We were especially delighted with the evening dinner shuttle service - a free shuttle into the dining areas of the city to enjoy much more variety that offered within walking distance - smart idea!"

"It’s a decent airport stop…. Clean and with enough amenities before a flight. This mornings bag breakfast is the only negative I have and that’s because it had a fully rotten apple in my bag. Like push your finger into it rotten. So I don’t know if they pack the bags way in advance?? Otherwise a good stop."

"This is the fourth time staying at the Fairfield and it never disappoints. Customer service is top rated - Joshua went out of his way to accommodate my early arrival. The building is new, shuttle is always on time (every 30mins) and the breakfast provides a lot of options. I use to stay at the Hampton Inn - its now getting dated/expensive and breakfast is not as good as before. I am glad I found a new place to stay which is also within walking to shopping. "

"Only one problem - no water in room to wash with- the water completely shut down twice. Once in the morning in middle of showers. The response was quick and fixed both times but no one likes soap in their eyes they can’t wash out. They only gave us a small discount off extras for the inconvenience which should have been a bit more. None the less we would definitely return and recommend because everything else was wonderful. The property is beautiful! "

"I’ve stayed at many places but this is definitely one of my favorites. The building looks brand new and very well-maintained. There is a hangout room on the top floor with a huge Tv and coffee machine. Next to it is a small gym with a bathroom and a shower! There is also WiFi that works very well in both rooms! "We booked a 2 night stay. Our initial reception was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and gave lots of information about the resort. We were escorted to our room and the luggage taken for us. The features were clearly explained. At all times the staff were very courteous & couldn’t do enough to help. We had dinner both evenings which, again, was excellent. The location is fantastic with amazing views. All in all, the best experience we had in Costa Rica. "
