A Tropical Paradise at ECOTICA Boutique Hotel I can’t say enough great things about ECOTICA Boutique Hotel! Nestled in the breathtaking surroundings of Manuel Antonio, this place truly feels like a slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived, the friendly and attentive staff made us feel welcome and well cared for. The hotel perfectly balances luxury and eco-consciousness. The rooms are beautifully designed with local touches and are immaculately clean, offering stunning views of the lush rainforest. Waking up to the sound of tropical birds and seeing monkeys playing in the trees right outside our balcony was magical! The location is unbeatable. It’s close to Manuel Antonio National Park, pristine beaches, and fantastic restaurants, yet it feels like a private, tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle. One of the highlights was the on-site dining experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and made with locally sourced ingredients. Their attention to detail and commitment to sustainability truly shine through. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or adventure, ECOTICA Boutique Hotel is the perfect base. I wouldn’t hesitate to return, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica. A 5-star experience from start to finish!

ECOTICA was clean, with a beautifully maintained pool and breakfast area. We saw more wildlife lounging at the resort than in the national park, including two scarlet macaws that spent the entire morning over the pool, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, and toucans. The food, however, was Americanized. The on-site YOLO restaurant is American food and music, and was quite loud until about 10 pm. While the resort was excellent in terms of service, amenities, etc., I can't recommend visiting Manuel Antonio for more than a day. The park is over-crowded and swarming with men posing as guides with fake badges demanding payment for parking and services. The beach is beautiful and worth a day of exploration. Stay away from the national park.

Excellent property with nice location. Since we could not take the complimentary wine, we were offered smoothies instead. Unfortunately, the person at the pool bar who made the smoothies was not friendly at all, and did not even wait to take the correct orders before making our smoothies. We ended up dumping ALL the smoothies because they were done incorrectly.

We spent a week in a bungalow at Ecotica and had a wonderful time. It’s is a wonderful boutique hotel with breakfast by the pool and a great restaurant. We saw 3 kinds of monkeys daily and Scarlett Macaws and toucans. We had such a nice time and staff was so helpful and friendly.

While this stay was pleasant, its price (particularly in comparison to other hotels in the area) feels a bit too expensive. While the breakfast is made-to-order, the pre-set savory options do not include fruit and service was very slow. The front desk personnel were responsive on WhatsApp and were able to swap out our bottle of sparkling wine welcome amenity for smoothies at their restaurant (appreciated as we were not drinking on this trip). The property is clean, beautiful, and in excellent condition. It is also within walking distance to grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. The laundry service is on a per-item basis, not per kilogram.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! I've never experienced such friendly staff. Truly a joy, all of them! I lost my purse with my ID, money, and credit card and before I reported it, they had it at the front desk because housekeeping had found it and everything was in it. There were howler monkeys right outside my room in the trees, macaws flew overhead, amazing pool area, free breakfast freshly made by Chef, great coffee. The entire menu is so good, we tried almost everything! There was live music by an amazing guitarist/singer every evening.

Rooms was very nice and comforable in a jungle setting. Breakfast (next to the pool) was good. Pool is nice. We were lucky it was very quiet so always beds available. The upstairs restaurant was not as nice as could be, a bit soulless with a grim looking casino inside as well. However, many options outside the hotel. Can recommend.

We would have loved to give this property 5 stars. It was clean, beautiful, centrally located. Great pool, cool bar upstairs with live music and great TVs each evening. Close to the beach, a quick 80 cent bus ride, stops right in front. Staff gave very good service. Now the cons- NO ONE was Pura Vida. We were not asked our names the whole 5 days, no one was happy to see us, ever. The servers and bartenders seemed very disconnected from us. The drinks were VERY EXPENSIVE and they were not strong, EVER. example=34.00 for two drinks- they were okay at best. we started bringing our own or going elsewhere. Becuase the drinks were so expensive and mediocre we didn't eat there, only the free breakfast, which was fantastic every day. We ate everywhere else and the food was GREAT and the drink were half the price. Everyone at all the other places we visited were so friendly and personable. We wished we had saved the money at ECOTICA and airbnb's it for less. Also, teh AC had issues our whole visit. They were quick to respond but the problem ultimately was not solved. Again, we loved a lot about this property. At 5pm the monkeys come out and play right in front of the bar. But you don't have to stay there to enjoy that. Missing the PURA VIDA

Multiple stairs on property that were of varying heights and depths. Stairs are not very well lit and are tiled. When it is dark and the stairs are wet, they are deadly. There is a casino on property-no mention of that anywhere. Music from the bar is loud and played constantly. The food is terrible and more than twice the price at any other resort. I stayed at another resort. Ecotica offered a future stay credit but they never delivered it. Quite frankly, I don't want a future credit at this dangerous, noisy, clip joint/rip off establishment. Expedidia didn't make mention of a noisy casino on the property! This is the epitome of a rip off hotel, that using expedia, should make it easy to avoid. Let severely down by the hotel and expedia! Oh yeah, breakfast sucked too!

My stay at ECOTICA Boutique Hotel was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The location is unbeatable—tucked away in a lush rainforest oasis yet close enough to explore nearby attractions. It’s the best of both worlds: peaceful seclusion and easy access to adventure. The hotel is impeccably clean, and every detail is thoughtfully maintained. From the beautifully designed rooms to the serene outdoor spaces, everything feels like it was crafted to help guests unwind and connect with nature. The wildlife is incredible! I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and even spotting monkeys right from the property! The staff, though, are what truly make this place shine. They are warm, attentive, and go out of their way to ensure you have an amazing experience. I want to give a special shoutout to Joshua, who was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout my stay. His care and professionalism made my visit even more memorable—thank you, Joshua!
