"Bill and Rosalee are lovely hosts! Very helpful and welcoming.We had a very relaxing stay. The connection with the local culture and foods was top-notch. Warm, engaging, friendly and helpful! Local artist Martine has some amazing art pieces.We ate at Chumis and could not have felt more welcomed by Mirta, the proprietor. Lots of joy and love! Great Tacos Camarrones at Dalis as well. A most needed getaway!"

"Messed up my reservation, didn't let me know. Lost a night for which I wasn't refunded although they offered to, and amenities were not at all as described in Expedia. There's no TV signal, TVs not pre-connected to wifi, no info on the password, gave me pass 3 options none worked. Pretty pics that don't live up to the actual experience. I'm never coming back."

"This beautiful log cabin is perched in the hills where the deck catches the mountain breezes. Bring binoculars for birdwatching! We lived on that deck! The air conditioning is once for sleeping, and the kitchen is small but functional. "We had an amazing time. The scenery was just beautiful. Views are breathtaking and our hosts were fantastic. Loved the little touches with the wine and cookies and treats. So sweet! Bed was very comfortable!The drive up is a little un-nerving the first time but you get used to it.Only recommendations I would make would be to have an ice cube tray and maybe some chair loungers to lay in the sun on the grass. "We loved this property and I only wish we had more time. The host and the caretaker were responsive. Excellent bird watching in the mornings. Fresh guava to eat off the trees. We had two dinners at the farm next store and they were delicious! A lovely stay and my only wish is we had more time. Ricardo was super friendly and very helpful. A bit tricky to find but excellent directions. I hope to go back some day."

"I stayed a couple of nights with friends, we only wanted a place to talk, play board games, cook some food and relax. This property was perfect for all that, with plenty of sitting areas. The bathroom was very nice, with plenty of space for large groups. The property was very clean and with a nice view. "Outstanding property with wonderful hiking trails near by. Cute quiet town. The road down to the cabin is steep and unpaved but we managed in a 2wd vehicle. Wifi/Service was out but there is so much to do it didnt bother us one bit. 10/10 would stay again."

"Nice hotel in a good spot in Barrio Escalante. It was nice to have our own apartment with a kitchen. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. I could tell that booking through Expedia was an extra hurdle for them, because we didn't get standard messages like our room door code or the wifi details, those appeared to be arranged some other way which was not known to me. It's well worth the money, but maybe book on a different platform."
