"when we checked in, our room wasn't available (I realized later this is part of the up sell strategy) we had the option to "upgrade" to a swim out room that was ready. The price communicated verbally to upgrade was $500. I was charged $1,064 for the upgrade. everything is in Peso. it felt just like being at a car dealership, where the sale manager had to be involved. There is a sneaky sale practice taught to the customer service people at Secrets in Cabo san Jose. "
