"You get what you pay for; nothing flash or overly lush but certainly comfortable enough, clean, and a decent amount of space in the room. They were conducting renovations at the time of my stay so the smell of paint was lingering in the air at times but it was a non issue and it didn't impact my stay at all. Staff were polite and friendly enough. Ultimately it's close to a main road, so there was a fair amount of street noise in the mornings and no double glazed windows so keep noise...

"The harbour view was absolutely stunning fot $300. The King bed was comfy, bathroom luxurious. But it was the in room dining staff member that made my experience beautiful. I had been going through a hard time with my Mum’s illness and his warmth and kindness were so comforting. He was so supportive as I made my selections, suggesting sauces, offering improvements. He noticed I said I like crispy chips so he added extra crispy on them, and offered a cup of ice for my apple juice as I wasn't sure...

"The front desk and housekeeping staff were excellent -- there were a couple issues at the start, but they were addressed immediately and with the precision and skill of a 5 star hotel -- any issues I had were made right not only in the ways I expected, but in ways that went above and beyond, leading me to recommend this hotel and plan another booking. The breakfast package offers excellent options."

"Lovely old building. Small double room & bed *is* small but clean, comfortable and well-appointed with a window that opens as well as aircon. Probably not the room for a standard Aussie couple, one of whom is male, as the bed is foreshortened by a cushioned bedhead. Friendly staff, nice front lounge. Well-priced and located. My only complaint was lack of hot water on the day of departure. Bring a plug for your phone charger."
