"This is a hidden gem. We've stayed twice now. The view from the upper harbour facing rooms rival hotels in Circular Quay but for 1/3 of the price. A bus across the road [311] takes you to Central station and a short walk to Kings Cross Station and you can link to wherever. Loads of eating, dining options. Staff are great. Parking onsite, sometimes included and other times $40 a night. Love it!"

"Had a great time at highfield! It was a super convenient location so close to central and the train stations, and it was incredible affordable for the private room that we stayed in. The staff is super nice and very accomodating to late check ins and room attending requests. It was as quiet as you can expect for a inner city room, but was super clean and comfortable. Definitely not the biggest space and the lack of an elevator could be annoying at the end of a long day but I would absolutely...

"Lovely old building. Small double room & bed *is* small but clean, comfortable and well-appointed with a window that opens as well as aircon. Probably not the room for a standard Aussie couple, one of whom is male, as the bed is foreshortened by a cushioned bedhead. Friendly staff, nice front lounge. Well-priced and located. My only complaint was lack of hot water on the day of departure. Bring a plug for your phone charger."

"I loved the fact they serve a yummy dinner every night . Very convenient after running a marathon . Anytime I had difficulty with something I rang the number available to us and the staff were super nice and very helpful. Despite my initial disappointment of my accommodation cancellation . "You get what you pay for; nothing flash or overly lush but certainly comfortable enough, clean, and a decent amount of space in the room. They were conducting renovations at the time of my stay so the smell of paint was lingering in the air at times but it was a non issue and it didn't impact my stay at all. Staff were polite and friendly enough. Ultimately it's close to a main road, so there was a fair amount of street noise in the mornings and no double glazed windows so keep noise...

"Lack of service.... Never anyone at reception.. Was told I could only pay cash for the booking... And when I decided to extend my booking the next night, I checked the price online and it was $80 But when the manager/receptionist finally arrived I saw her on one of the floors as she was cleaning the rooms. I asked her if I could meet her a reception and pay another night. And she said oh just pay me here and now cash. I asked her how much for the night? And her response was... How much did...
