The particular area is conveniently close to SJ Centro and all that goes with that, the only negative is the issues that come with big Cities everywhere in the world. Sketchy at night, great in the daytime. Hotel had secure parking and great amenities for a comfortable stay. If coming from the warm beach areas, don't forget to pack...

"The hotel is beautiful. Lovingly restored w beautiful art. The staff was friendly, helpful and very responsive. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful; our room came w an upgrade which was unexpected and much appreciated. The only downside for us was the considerable train noise as the tracks run just behind the hotel; sleeping was difficult for only that reason."
