"As advertised: a place to sleep and shower. No frills. Decently clean. Shuttle service was prompt and it took no more than 10 min to get to the sleepy at mid morning. The only disappointment was that the rooftop bar is closed on Mondays (which was the only night I was there). I was looking forward to cooling off in the breeze up there and having a drink. "

"I stayed at Selina/Socialtel San Jose for about a week until the 28th of January 2025 and my Spirit Animal for the stay was a Sloth because I did mostly nothing in the morning, then took a rest in the afternoon. One might not think this a feasible feat in a city such as San Jose. But, I accepted the challenge and made good on it. Mae, aquí pulseándola! "Great for a night’s rest and a shower in the city centre. Wonderful staff. They provide a loud fan which blocks out all the street noise for a good sleep. Gracias Casa colon!"

"This is pretty good for a short stay downtown San Jose. The downside is that it's a hostel, not a hotel. It's weird that they call it a hotel. And of course I had a private room with a private bathroom but this is definitely not a hotel."

"5 star Top rating for the location and amenities. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor. Maverick, the hotel front desk concierge, was very friendly and patient with us. He welcomed us on our first day and answered all of our questions. Maverick arranged all our tours with Andy for the night tour and Abel for the morning boat tour. Both did a fantastic job, but especially Abel, who went above and beyond on the wildlife tour. "I liked family environment. They take care of Stella while providing food and improving trails. When i need help with my phone CAMILLE(wife) drove me to 2 nearby businesses to try fix peoblem. Thet do not have wifi but let me tether an use their data. English is spoken."

I booked through hotels.com as part of my trip and when I got their and the hotel was no longer in operation, and it was a nightmare dealing with hotels.com. They are pushy and it is a mess. When I started demanding my money back, a pushy person who spoke broken English called to sell me ANOTHER hotel, but refused to give me my money back. I am realizing hotels.com is a racket."
