"This was my second visit one of the best hotels in the Savegre Valley for birders. The accommodations are excellent (including heating in the rooms & hot showers!), with the mountain-view villas being especially good for birders. A major bonus is a wonderful bird-feeding area attracting lots of hummingbirds & frugivores. The only drawback on this visit was the disappointing meals on our first evening - I hope just a reflection of temporary staffing problems. Fortunately excellent restaurants...

It was slightly cool at night which I loved because it made it easy to sleep. We needed to cancel the second night because we rescheduled our flight and we got our money back, no questions asked.
