"We enjoyed staying at Casa Mango. True to it's name, there are mangos hanging off the big tree ready to eat or as we did, make mango margaritas! Josh is an excellent host and his girlfriend, Mariela, is an great cook. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast (gallo pinto/eggs), fab dinner (Arroz con Pollo) and the best pina coladas ever! The river/estuary views are every changing with the tides. Overall, it's a hidden paradise in a typical Costa Rican neighborhood."

"Great place in a great location. The views are spectacular. I would stay there again. Hosts were also very responsive and helpful. A knife sharpener would be good to have for the kitchen, as knives were extremely dull; glad I brought my Buck knife. A steamer basket would also be useful for those who prefer to steam the fine produce available."

"This was our second time staying at Quinta Colina Paula and we cannot say enough good things about this property and its host, Tonia. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived and were greeted by Meylin. She and her family live in the casita at the front of the property and were always kind and welcoming. Tonia also did a great job recommending drivers for short trips to town or day long excursions. We only hope it’s not another 8 years before we can return!"

"Pros- well stocked kitchen, beautiful main area/family space, Jairo was nice and used his technology to communicate & monkeys that will take bananas right out of your hand if offered Cons- downstairs smells- stuff left in washer & both dryers - key situation wasn’t ideal (separate keys for all rooms with outdoor entries & only one key to family area) -no hot tub as listed- not within walking distance of town- more run down than pictures indicated- maid came at 8 am on checkout day Animals we...

"Never again. We had to leave 2 days early and try to find another place on high season for my party of 8 because of over booking. The service was just terrible. To bad, because the area was great. Dont rent from this place."

"We loved the property, it was beautiful and spacious. The WiFi was a little touch and go and it was at least 20 minutes to get into la Fortuna. We would definitely recommend, but just be aware you will be doing a lot of back and forth driving to get into town and the nearby activities."
