"We really enjoyed the location, in Cho Lon area, means no other foreigners than us in the hotel and in the area. The staff was really devoted and easy-smiling, gave us good info (about Grab, SIM cards, etc) . The room was very very clean. The only small point was the fact that this room (804) located at the top of the hotel was also next to the lift machinery : that causes a kling-klong noise when the lift reverses its course. But we easily survived (9-nights) since this lift is quite not used...

"Staff was so friendly. I was so glad to having Cantonese speaking staff! At first I was using Google translate from Eng>VN. So much easier! Our flight was delayed due to visa hiccup but the staff took good care of me and my boy. "We had a great stay at the Equatorial. We had kids also and the staff was friendly and helpful (sadly this is not the norm at all 5-star properties in Vietnam, so it was a nice experience). The pool is great, I would recommend a room by the pool. The food was also very food (slightly pricy compared to alternatives, but comparable). I would recommend this hotel as great option for visiting HCMC. "

"The location of the Dong Kinh hotel is very convenient. You can walk to Hoa Binh Market. There are a lot of delicious food nearby. District 5 is a Chinatown. The front desk staff has good service, There is also a young lady in the Hotel who can speak Chinese, especially the young beauty named Hieu, Because There were mosquitoes in my room and she upgraded me to a good room. "Room was very clean. Shampoo, body wash and toothbrush provided. A bath mat and Hand towel would have been useful. Bottle water is available for purchase at reception I believe. Tv, fridge, aircon amc fan. Has an elevator. Hotel arranged for motorbike rental 150k a day delivered and picked up from Hotel. Parking is inside the hotel gates. "

"Great hotel with top-notch customer service, clean space, and great amenities. Upon checking in, the staff were excellent and able to accommodate holding my luggage because I arrived early. They upgraded me to a better room because there was availability. The first room I was given smelled like cigarette smoke so the staff was able to move me to a Comparable room that didn’t have this issue. This isn’t any fault of the hotels. It is due to disrespectful guests. After I was able to settle in, I was able to take advantage of all the amenities. They had a pillow menu, which was a nice touch because I was able to order a memory foam pillow for a good nights rest. I am not used to sleeping on the flat feather pillows that hotels normally offer. I really liked the design of the bathroom the toilet and the shower were separate from the sink area so we could use the individual amenities without waiting. There was also a bathtub and they provided Himalayan pink sea salt so you could soak away aches after walking all day. Each room also had an air purifier in the desk/sofa seating area. Make sure you turn it on to purify the unpleasant HCMC air. I did not get to take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool because of the bad air quality, but I did visit the gym and the bar on the first floor. The hotel is also attached to the mall next-door, which had your typical high street brand shops. Overall, a great hotel, and I would stay again. "

"Latest stay at Alagon, always fantastic value. Quaint boutique hotel, excellent location in the heart of District 1, 3 min walk to Ben Thanh market and the receny opened Metro. Lovely staff, clean, quaint, very nice food, excellent massage in the Spa. Often some free maasage or food voucher. Fantastic gem of a hotel in heart HCMC"

"This hotel is all about location—right in the heart of the city, with easy walking access to many attractions. Taxis will get you to sites farther out. It has a 5-star reputation and generally lives up to that reputation. My wife and I have stayed here every time we have visited HCM city, usually for more than one day, and would look to do so any future stay in the city. By Vietnamese standards, it costs a bit more compared to other hotels in the area. Compared to hotel rates in the U.S., however, it is a great deal for a room that is more spacious than your average hotel in VN, with a fabulous buffet breakfast available to boot. What’s not to love about all this?"
