"Lovely hotel, staff and the rooms are decorated very well. Only downfall was the breakfast…the restaurant when I came down at 8:30am was a mess, barely a clean table, almost every table had plates with left over food…. The breakfast itself I am sure was precious days food warmed up. This is shame as I’ve had lunch there before and it was really good…. Perhaps there was a staffing issue, I don’t know. I’d still come back, however fresh breakfast next time please. "

"Beautiful relaxing Country House with rambling gardens. Superb food and hospitality. Beautiful bedroom but too hot! Tried opening windows but noise from ventilation units outside too i intrusive! Needed more hanging space Loved the Pantry!"

"Staff were very good and cheerful. Very much a local pub still, which we enjoyed, especially when the rugby was on! We were in Bedroom 8, which in busy times would suffer with a lock of privacy being overlooked by the path down the side and a glamping tent behind. The cooked breakfast was fantastic, but that's all there was, no fruit or cereal. We did enjoy our stay there however."

"Great short stay. Our room oozed character and history, enhanced by top quality fittings. Bed was enormous and super comfy. Breakfast was absolutely spot on. Complimentary bottles(!) of gin and whisky and the posh shower toiletries topped it all off."
