The motel was okay, about right for the price I’d say. Had multiple issues with our tv the entire time we were there, but staff were friendly and it was clean. The huge downside is the diner. We were so excited to go and have food there but had the most severe food poisoning we have ever had in the middle of the night. Even now we are still unwell almost 2 days later. Brought the issue to attention at reception when we had to check out at 7 am because we were that ill it cut our entire trip short and sent an email at 5 am the morning of the food poisoning - I’ve not even had an email back to apologise and acknowledge my email which suggests they don’t understand the gravity of this situation.
This trip was a belated birthday celebration, our first night away alone since having a baby (thank god we didn’t bring him), completely ruined. I’ll be expecting a full refund of the food and stay seeing as it was the motel’s own diner that caused this, and would never return again
