"As I booked in I was taken aback to be told that there was a charge for parking - the first I'd heard of such a charge. Seeing my astonishment, the kind receptionist waived the fee. Why do hotels charge for a necessity? Breakfast was excellent, with superb bacon. A shame that it was let down by the limited choice of fruit juice - not-fresh orange juice - and appalling coffee. "

"We experienced a couple of initial issues—a cold room upon arrival and a ripped duvet cover—but the staff responded promptly by replacing the duvet within five minutes. Overall, the stay was enjoyable with very good meals and courteous, accommodating service. "

"i didn't like the fact that sandwiches were not available until after 9pm. didn't like having to pay for everything up front. however staff were always very pleasant and the rooms were very clean and tidy."

"Easy check in, great staff, wonderful food. Great view of the horses in the pasture, the geese, and birds. 3 minute walk to the Thames with a path that goes into Oxford. Fabulous."
