"Very close to Kawaguchiko station. Clean and tidy. Has a microwave, a mini fridge and a kettle with a few options for tea. There are two convenience stores about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and Lake Kawaguchiko is about a 15 minute walk. Staff aren’t present on the property outside of cleaning (I think) which worked okay. We checked in and out by a tablet at the entrance. The bunk bed we had wasn’t super comfortable, but overall the place is definite worth the price. It was unfortunate...

"We loved our time at Fuji Guesthouse. We stayed in their traditional Japanese room, which was spacious for the two of us the night before we began our Mt. Fuji ascent. Both staff members we interacted with were not only kind during our stay, but extended their hospitality beyond it, offering us to store our luggage while we were on the mountain, and allowing us to shower upon our return. It was a great experience in a small town. Next time I find myself in Fujikawaguchiko, I will certainly try...

"Really friendly staff. Awesome spot. Really felt like a true hostel experience. Very clean. Never had a problem with anything during my stay. I would stay again and recommend to anyone who was travelling in the area! "

"Very stunning view of Mount Fuji. Feels like you are at the base of the mountain looking up . Food was very delicious for the breakfast and dinner and Onsen was very private . Perfect for couples or families who enjoy a private getaway . Area is secluded so its away from the noise and crowd. 11/10"

"If you want the chance of a view of Fuji from your bedroom window then this is a place to stay. Large room and friendly and helpful staff. Walkable to the train and bus station."

"I think HAOSTAY is very value for money as the rooms are big (as of Japan standards) and it offers a great view of Fuji from the room window and rooftop. The Japanese or sandwich breakfast options were great. It is a 15 min walk from the train station which is manageable. For transport to the train station, they have fixed vehicle trips at 9am, 9.30am and 10am. It is recommended to book them the night beforehand as there are only spaces for approx 7-9pax. All in all, I would definitely come back again if I were to go to Kawaguchiko."

"After traveling and exploring the bustling areas of Ueno park, Ginza, and Odaiba, it was nice to be somewhere tranquil and quiet. My partner and I were happy with coming to this place where nature is plentiful. The public baths were extremely soothing, and we found our stay restful. The hospitality of the staff was warm and welcoming, and it was nice to be next to Lake Kawaguchi so we can bike to the Maple Corridor. Overall, it was a great experience for our first trip to Japan and we’d love to come back to Lakeland Mizunosato in the near future!"

"This hotel is a terrific bargain if what you're looking for is a well-priced, great location, attentive staff, and on-premises onsen. If you're sensitive to the smell of decades of tobacco use, this hotel is not for you. If you're tolerant of this issue and want the opportunity to enjoy windows that open, and old-school amenities and service, you will enjoy this hotel as much as I do. "
