Nara Hotel

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1039)
"This is a landmark historic hotel, dripping with stories of famous guests. It is grand, warm, welcoming, quiet, comfortable and convenient to Nara Park, Kintetsu Station and many temples. I stayed in the new side which feels very 1990s American hotel style. Roomy for Japan and with a nice balcony. The bar, tea room, sakura lounge and dining room were all comfortable and classy. This is a wonderful place to stay."

The Deer Park Inn

2.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (216)
"This lodging was perfect for visiting the park. Facility was clean, quiet, our room was spacious, & the staff very friendly. They let us know about evening lantern event, and breakfast available for purchase at 9am in a cafe near by. Location in the park is convienent for some travelers without transportation visiting the park. It was a short hike from the bus stop at the museum. Could use a sign at the bottom of hill on bus route for lodging location. Of the park workers we asked, no one seemed...

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (45)
"We stayed for two nights in one of the traditional rooms with kaiseki and it was one of the best experiences we have had anywhere in the world. The food was amazing and the staff were very polite and professional. Walking through the park from the front door or into town is also great! The private baths were super relaxing. Kakimotoya

3.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (16)
"Relax in the bath set on the balcony while watching the wonderful view. This is a hideaway inn that Japanese people don't know too much. We recommend this ryokan if you want to experience a real high quality Japanese ryokan service. In order to do so, you must also learn Japanese culture and manners before staying."
