"The Hotel was in a great location, with free parking. Short walk to Westgate area in Canterbury with great restaurants. Great base to see all of Kent. We spent three nights and the staff were amazing, helpful & friendly. The room was very clean and we had a good night sleep every time. The bathroom was in great condition. We even had a bath as it was so cosy. The best thing about this hotel it comes with an amazing steakhouse / carvery. We even decided to eat there every night for dinner as the food was so good and reasonably priced. The Breakfast was very good and they do perfect poached eggs. They catered and took care in allergens and recommend it for anyone who need to eat gluten free. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"Can’t fault our stay. Warm welcome at check in, very quick and easy to find our accommodation. Suite was bright, thoughtfully decorated and very very clean. All the information we needed about the hotel and services was either communicated directly or left in the room for us to read. Complimentary hot drinks, warm room and comfortable bed. Nicely equipped bathroom and a hairdryer which was really appreciated. Breakfast was really good and so quick. Never received a full English breakfast as quickly as that. Waiting staff were lovely. Easy and friendly check out. We won’t hesitate to return "

"We booked this hotel based upon the reviews as we were visiting a friend in the area and needed somewhere to stay. The hotel is in a great location very close to the top of raised promenade. There isn’t a lot of onsite parking, however there is free onsite parking close by which we used. Upon check in we were greeted by Mark who was so friendly, knowledgable, and instantly made us feel like we had made a good choice with his excellent customer service. This is a pet friendly hotel, which is the main reason why we chose to stay here as we had an our doggo with us. There is is £20 per night surcharge which seems weird because presumably this is for the enhanced cleaning, so the number of nights is irrelevant- just charge for the stay otherwise it becomes bad value for pet owners and drives them towards better value options, such as AirBnB, which we don’t want. Our room was a large disabled access room on the ground floor, which meant it had a huge bathroom, which sadly didn’t have a bath despite the enormous amount of space, and definitely could have still been classed as accessible. We were at the side of the hotel so the view was into next door but that didn’t really bother us. The decor was pleasant and the bed comfortable. The bed did have a spring base which squeaked sometimes when you moved, so this could do with some WD40! Overall, the hotel is well located, with comfortable rooms and delightful staff who really seem to care about your stay."

"We had stayed at the abode hotel on the 21st and was amazed by the welcoming at the front desk to then opening the door to our bedroom and being amazed by the style of the room very comfy and well furnished "

"Very happy with our stay, we traveled on the ferry late and arrived in Dover just before midnight, the hotel was very easy to find and only a very short drive for the ferry port, hotel was undergoing renovations and this was clearly sign posted in spite of this it was lovely inside and the to staff member on reception were extremely helpful and very accommodating, really great service. The room was fantastic!! 5 beds (which is so hard to get in lower budget hotels and we always struggle) very spacious room with comfort beds and great hot drink selection and even a fridge!. Bathroom was amazing very modern and clean with some great features and plenty of toiletries. Overall we are extremely happy with our stay highly recommended and will definitely be booking here again "
