This was a wonderful place for a mid-week stay in Canterbury. The location cannot be surpassed -- standing next to the gates to the Cathedral. It's accessible to all kinds of places. The staff is attentive, kind, and helpful. My bedroom was clean with a good bed. The breakfast was wonderful. This is an old hotel that is high on charm. Not everyone may appreciate the slanting floors and mutiple staircases. But if you want to stay at a historic inn, this is a wonderful option. Will return again.

Great reception by Monica who made us feel most welcome. Hotel itself a little tired but characterful… staff had no uniform so not easy to identify. Room was via an outside walkway but quiet; so slept well.
