At check out the elderly receptionist was confused and could not see that I already pre-paid via hotels.com. So I was forced to pay 680 euro again. "Nous sommes une famille de 12 personnes dont 5 enfants et souhaitions passer une semaine de vacances avec de l'espace pour tout le monde. Cette demeure historique, très propre et avec de bons couchages, nous a parfaitement convenu, bien restaurée, en gardant en grande partie l'esprit médiéval. Nous avons eu un très bon contact avec la propriétaire et un accueil très sympathique et de bon conseil de la part de Jacqueline que nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement."

"Authentically shabby chic chateau, an experience you will never forget. Excellent place for a large group (we were 12 most of the fortnight) and perfect for eating drinking and talking late into the night. The pool is good and needed in the summer (38 degrees while we were there). Despite the large indoor space it was the outdoor living that we particularly enjoyed. Not a place for people who want modern conveniences, but if you want authentic old french this is perfect."

"Great location by the Canal du Midi, which has a cycle route alongside. We cycled in both directions, and another day took the bikes by car to cycle further away. Also good access to Carcassonne and supermarkets by car. Comfortable gite, looks just like the photos. Enough kitchen equipment and a three-ring induction hob for eating in.
