The view from the balcony was quite poor, and below the window there was a lot of rubbish on the roof from renovation work. A pity, because otherwise for us the room was fine and good value. "

"Air conditioning did not work. Had to open the window to let cool air in and in return the mosquitoes came in. There is no free breakfast. It's 10.50 Euro per person for breakfast. There is also no free shuttle to the airport which is only 15 mins away. Cost of a taxi to the airport was 55 Euro. It would actually be cheaper transport to stay at a hotel on the island part of Venice and take the water bus to the airport for cheaper. Bed was uncomfortable with hard springs. "Excellent location near Mestre station (just one stop by train to Santa Lucia), clean and comfortable room, and good value for money. The sink, the TV, and the AC in the single room come in very handy. The owner, however, is a grumpy guy who won't hesitate to swear and yell at you at the flimsiest excuse (yes, really!). "
