"My husband and I stayed at Ayung Resort Ubud for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We had booked a Valley Pool Villa, but were kindly upgraded to a Royal Rainforest Villa, which was a lovely surprise. The villa was extremely spacious, making us feel tiny. The swimming pool and gardens were immaculately maintained. We used the outdoor pool daily and spent most of our time at the resort, visiting the restaurant three nights in a row. We also tried the complimentary afternoon tea service twice, which was a nice touch because we never experience that in the U.S. The restaurant server, Gosenadi, told us that the chef, a Ubud native, had won a cooking competition in Singapore. It makes sense because his food was way better than what we normally get from a lot of restaurants in U.S. We mainly tried Balinese cuisine, and my husband enjoyed the barbecue pork ribs recommended by Gosenadi and Adreani. I loved the beetroot salad, and the fresh vegetables, which my husband, who grew up on a farm, also praised. Gosenadi informed us that all produce served at Ayung was locally grown. We used the spa, which was reasonably priced and staffed by professional and kind therapists. After our long flights from Chicago (took two days to get there), we needed a relaxation massage. Our room had excellent WiFi, allowing me to work on my laptop without issues. We loved the staff at Ayung Resort the most; they were always smiling and accommodating. We felt treated like royalty."

The property is a little tired, however if you can see past that you will love it. The spa was terrific, I ended up going there almost every day of our stay. I would definitely recommend this one!"

Every single person here is an absolute gem and their service is truly praiseworthy. It’s because of the wonderful people here at Udaya that I extended my stay and I can not wait to come back to Bali and stay at Udaya again."
