"We had a great experience at this hotel. The check in process was simple and easy, and the room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable. The two days we stayed we enjoyed their complimentary breakfast and also were able to go to and from the train station within walking distance. Our only issue was the air conditioning system, the room can be a little more cooler as we had to open the window to keep the room cool. Overall it was a great stay and will stay again in the future. "

"After a whistle stop tour of Rome, we thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights at this villa. The hosts were very welcoming, meeting us and accompanying us to the property as well as providing recommendations as to where to eat and shop for food, plus a very generous welcoming gift of brioche bread on arrival and a bottle of fizz on our last night. After a hectic time in Rome, we all completely relaxed at the villa - it is so remote and peaceful. The villa is very spacious and stays cool during the day and night, and the pool is a great size - complete with inflatables! The kitchen is very well equipped, but we didn't trouble it too much, preferring to either eat out or just enjoy local meats, cheeses and bread. It's very close to Lake Como - and we did a day trip there - an hour walking tour and a boat trip to Torno, where we had an amazing lunch at Albergo Ristorante Vapore. Delicious risotto and an incredible view of the lake. We ate twice at Ristorante Da Rosa in Montorfano- once at the restaurant, then returning for a takeaway pizza on another night! This villa is a perfect holiday retreat - remote and peaceful, but within easy reach of fabulous places to visit and eat. We absolutely loved it. We completely relaxed and recharged our batteries after our trip to Rome. Our only word of caution would be the bumpy road to reach the property - make sure, if you have a hire car, it's not too sporty or low to the ground!"

"Nice hotel, in a residential area so it does a great job of providing everything you could need. Lovely pool area with an onsite bar, changing rooms, lockers etc. great selection of healthy, fresh, tasty breakfast items. Restraint and bar was a little pricey for our tastes but menu looked perfect for gastro types :). Aircon in room seemed lacking, we did stay during peak summer but it felt like the room never got below 28°c"

"My family and extended family, a party of 10, booked Poggio Verde for 4 nights in June. Communication with Gretchen the year leading up to the stay was effective, quick, professional and friendly. I am not sure that I am able to properly express the glorious time we had with Gretchen, her family, and at the property. It was like arriving in a dream!!! The most beautiful and historical home. The property and grounds were very clean and well maintained. Its hosts were the epitome of hospitable and caring hosts. Our family made the most glorious of memories while staying at the beautiful villa. 11 out of 10 in every category! Thank you, Gretchen and Luigi, for blessing us with sharing your home with us!"
