"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"The hotel offer superb Japanese hospitality, the meals are delicious. Service are polite and excellent ! It is a very traditional Ryokan with an in-room onsen bath. The hotel does not offer a communal onsen bath. Our room faces mount Yufuin and the view is very nice. Hotel does not have a shuttle service, however, it will pay the taxi driver when you hail a taxi to go to the hotel, on check out, hotel will get a taxi to get you back to the rail station . The stay was very relaxing and of value."

"This is a nice little spot to stop in for a more traditional Japanese Inn experience for your stay in Aoshima. From the outside, it appears like a large house with a trailer on the property and a yard space large enough to fit a few vehicles. There is a sign at the front door that lets you know it is the Sea-Dweller Inn. The rooms are open Tatami with a table in the center. "The property is clean and the space is large. The only bad thing about this place is the check-in procedures. Since there is no staff in the building, your only way to access is by the email sent by the property owner. The email arrive at 6pm on the day I check-in, after I reach out many time and through email, their offical website and Expedia. Take your risk when consider this place. "
